Making your own custom Women's Lace Front Wigs!
Wig making is
not a new concept. For centuries, both men and women have been
wearing Hairpieces and Wigs for various reasons. In the old days,
people wore them to be fashionable. Today, they still wear them
to be fashionable, but now bald men and balding women are wearing
them to hide their hair loss or to be fashionable too.
Compared to the
past, Lace Front Wigs and Hairpieces have improved in quality
considerably. The way Lace Front Wigs and Hairpieces are made
has changed drastically, however, the tools used to make them
have remained comparatively the same.
To make a Lace
Front Wig and Hairpiece all you need is a wig making Head
Block
and Ventilating Tool (for tying the hair to Monofilament
Foundation); a Monofilament Foundation, Lace Front Wig Cap, or an Integration
Wig Cap
(for thickening thinning hair); and some synthetic or human
hair.
When you consider
what's required to create a Lace Front Wigs and Hairpieces, it's
easy to understand what they are, they're simply hair tied to
netting.
What started
this phenomenon was during the 2005 Academy Awards when Beyonce
appeared three times to sing. She wore a beautiful, natural looking
Lace Front Wig during each of her performances. As Beyonce sang
and danced her hair flowed with the rhythm of the music; and
simply put... it was magical!
Her music was
great and her hair looked so beautiful and natural that women
everywhere now want to look just like Beyonce. Retail Wig Shops
are selling Lace Front Wigs so fast that they can hardly keep
them in stock.
The only problem
with purchasing a Lace Front Wig is you must prepare the front
hairline area so it configures with your own hairline. Therefore,
you must find someone who can do this for you or you must learn
how to do it yourself.
If you find someone
who knows how to prepare a Lace Front Wig for wearing you can
consider yourself to be quite fortunate. You can also consider
yourself to be lucky if that person really knows how to prepare
the wig so it will not be destroyed in the process of removing
the tape or adhesive used for securing the front hairline for
wearing.
Tyra Banks
Tyra Banks is a very talented young women who have conquered
the black and white fashion industry with her black beauty and
sexy body and moves. Tyra like Beyonce both wear high fashion
Lace Front Wigs, and some say: They are paying THOUSANDS FOR
THEM!
The first black
woman to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated's annual
Swimsuit Edition, Tyra Banks has long since established herself
as one of the top models of her generation. She broke into the
world of acting with a couple of small movie roles, but it wasn't
until her appearances in Higher Learning and the television
show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air that audiences began
to take her seriously. Today, she's an established TV personality,
acting as host of America's Next Top Model and her own
talk show.
Tyra Banks now
has her own TV Show and is fast becoming a TV Superstar.

How to prepare
a Lace Front Wig for wearing.
THE TRADITIONAL
WAY
The traditional way to prepare a Lace Front Wig for wearing is
to simply cut away the excess lace material that extends past
the front hairline. However, before you do that you may choose
to have some baby hair added along the front hairline.
This will allow
you to prepare your Lace Front Wig for wearing, however, in time
from removing tape or cleaning off any adhesive will quickly
destroy your beautiful wig.
If tape is used
for securing the front hairline area, simply by removing it causes
hairs to be pulled out from the front hairline area. Naturally,
by repeating this process over time will cause the front hairline
area to become bald and new hair will need to be replaced along
that area or the wig will need to be discarded or replaced.
THE EasyTAB
WAY
Creating a
Tape-Tab System is not a new concept. It has and is currently
the most common way Hairpieces are prepared for securing for
wearing. Retail manufacturer's prepare the underside edge of
Hairpiecess with a strip of urethane that allows the wearer to
apply toupee tape or bonding adhesive for securing Hairpieces
or Wigs for wearing. Some Hairpiece are designed without the
urethane in the front hairline portion. These are called Lace
Front Hairpieces, however, unlike Women's Lace Front Wigs they
do not have any excess Monofilament Material along the front
hairline that must be cut away.
Protecting the
front hairline area on a Lace Front Hairpiece may be easily done
using a product called EasyTAB COMPOUND (a product of MHRW INTERNATIONAL).
This same process may be used to prepare a Women's Lace Front
Wig for wearing too and it will protect the wig so it stays natural
looking a lot longer.
You simply brush
it along the underside area and allow it to dry before applying
the toupee tape or adhesive for securing your Hairpiece or Wig
for wearing.
EasyTAB
COMPOUND is truly amazing, you simply brush it to the underside
of the monofilament material and allow it to flow through the
holes to the hair side. When it dries the hair will look just
like it's growing from skin. EasyTAB dries clear and flat
like skin. When you tape or glue your Hairpiece or Wig to your
own skin, it allows your skin color to photograph through the
Monofilament Material to provide an invisible front hairline.
