Women's Lace Wig Design Tutorials Banana Clip Hairpiece .   Eva Avila author of: The Art of Making Men's Hairpieces The Art of Making Women's Wigs Welcome to the Women's Lace Wig Workshop FREE Tutorials... for learning how to create Banana Clips, Ponytails, Braids, Falls, Lace Wiglets and Hair Extensions, Hair Integration Systems, and even Doll Lace Wigs too. Creating these Hairpieces is very easy and they only requires a few basic supplies like hair, thread, and various foundation materials. Synthetic, Asian, and (European) Italian hair and other supplies needed for creating these Hairpieces are available online from MHRW INTERNATIONAL. Various Lace Wig making supplies necessary for creating women's Hairpieces are available from various Beauty Supply Stores, Fabric Stores, and Lace Wig Stores. Below are the tools and supplies necessary for creating the add-on Hairpieces featured in the Women's Workshop. Hair Supply Naturally, all Lace Wigs and Hairpieces are created with hair and there are two kinds of hair that are commonly used: synthetic hair and human hair. There are also two ways hair may be applied of configured to create a Lace Wig or Hairpiece. One way is using bulk hair; the other is using Weft hair. Bulk hair is loose strands of hair that are applied by tying them to a foundation or base using a Ventilating Tool. Weft hair is hair that is sewn together at one end when synthetic; or at the root end when human hair. To make most Lace Wigs or Hairpieces requires approximately 1 or more ounces of Weft hair. The length of the hair will ultimately dictate how many ounces of hair that will be necessary for creating this Hairpiece. With this Hairpiece the hair volume may be controlled by attaching 1 or more Weft strips to each comb. When adding more then one Weft strip to each comb; first pin Weft strips together; and then sew them into one strip before attaching hair to comb. In order for a perfect hair-color match; a hair sample must be sent along when ordering your hair supply. Weft Hair Supply   Flat Lace-Net Foundation Material Creating this Hairpiece requires using flat lace-net foundation material to create the foundation base. Creating this Hairpiece is very easy; you simply create the Hairpiece foundation; sew Weft hair to the foundation base; and its ready to wear. Flat Lace-Net Foundation Material fleshtone Plastic Thread When creating any type of Lace Wig or Hairpiece using a very thin plastic thread is recommended. Plastic thread is available at most Fabric Stores. TOUPEE COMB CLIPS Most women's Lace Wigs or Hairpieces are created using flat lace-net material of which Wefted hair strips are sewn to them or hair is ventilated to the foundation to create the desired Lace Wig or Hairpiece. These Lace Wigs and Hairpieces may secured using either Lace Wig Combs, Toupee Snaps, or Wire or Plastic Lace Wig Combs. You will also need Lace Wig T-pins and Duck Bill Clips. WIRE COMB CLIPS Women's Lace Wig or Men's Hairpieces may be custom designed using flat lace-net Lace Wig foundation material, simply by sewing Wefted hair strips to the lace material or by ventilating hair to the foundation material allows you to create your desired Lace Wig or Hairpiece. To secured your Lace Wig may be easily done using either Lace Wig Combs, Toupee Snaps, or Wire or Plastic Lace Wig Combs. WIRE & PLASTIC Lace Wig COMBS WCW101 WCW102 WCP101 Banana Clip Combs The Banana Clip Comb may be used to create both the EZ Banana Clip or Deluxe Banana Clip Hairpieces. The Banana Clip Comb is actually two curved combs that snap together at either end and are designed to fit the curvature below the rear crown area of your head. This design allows the Banana Clip Hairpiece to be quickly and easily attached and removed to your existing hair. Banana clip combs are available from our On-line Catalog. Ladies Styrofoam Wig Blocks Styrofoam Lace Wig Blocks Ventilator Holder .Trim Ribbon Some Women's Lace Wig or Men's Hairpieces are made with monofilament inserts. Monofilament inserts normally have rough edges that require trim. Trimming an insert stops hair from tangling along the edge. Inserts may be trimmed using flat trim ribbon or a two-sided bias tape ribbon. Trim ribbon is available in many colors. Choosing a ribbon that coordinates with the other materials (hair, Lace Wig lace-net, thread) that are being used to create your Lace Wig or Hairpiece is recommended. Depending on which type of foundation is being used to create a Lace Wig or Hairpiece (custom-made or ready-made) determines the size trim ribbon required. Using 1/2" to 5/8" trim ribbon is recommended. Both types of trim ribbon are available at most Fabric Stores. EasyTAB COMPOUND (Tape Tab System) Lace Wig monofilament inserts can also be easily and quickly finished and prepared by using MHRW EasyTAB Compound. When a Ready-made Lace Wig Foundation is used to create your Lace Wig or Men's Hairpiece, using MHRW EasyTAB Compound is recommended. [Enlarge Photo] Add-on Hairpiece or Lace Wig Attachment Instructions & Advice ADHESIVES When creating various Men's Hairpieces or Women's Lace Wig, securing them with a fast drying, strong bonding glue is recommended. Also these adhesives may be used for bonding Weft strips to a comb, comb clips, or hair. Top Priority Hard Bond Adhesive (hair bonding) or Ultra Hold Adhesive (skin bonding) are recommended for extended wear bonding for upto 6 week periods.
