Creating any of these Clip-on hair pieces is very easy and they only require a few basic supplies like hair, thread, and various foundation materials to make them.

DELUXE Banana Clip hair pieces can be created with long Weft hair or short Weft hair, thick hair or thin Weft hair, straight hair or wavy Weft hair, curly hair or kinky Weft hair... the choice is yours.

How To Create This Hair Piece

Deluxe Banana Clip hairp ieces are created using the following two (2) steps.

STEP 1.

To create this hair piece you must construct the hair piece by sewing Wefting strips together into a diamond pattern.

a. First an Outer Frame is sewn together.
b. Then an Inner Frame is sewn within the Outer Frame.
c. To complete the hair piece the finished diamond design hair piece is attached to the deluxe Banana Clip Comb.

See illustration of Inner and Outer Deluxe Banana Clip frame design (hair piece). As you can see the illustration is drawn without hair. This allows clarity of illustration. The Outer Frame indicated by the heavy black line with stitching is intended to be the outer Wefting strip frame of the hair piece, the smaller black lines designed into diamonds is the inner Wefting strip frame of the hair piece, when they are sewn together as shown they will make-up the entire hair piece. Once it has been sewn together it is then ready to be attached to the Banana Clip Comb.

With this type of design two things are accomplished:

1. It allows the hair piece to be full bodied with plenty of hair.
2. When closed a pocket is formed that will securely hold the hair piece in place on while symotaniously hiding your hair as hair piece is being worn.

The Outer Frame is constructed by making a rectangular frame measuring 4" x 7". It is designed to fit a standard large size Banana Clip Comb. To insure that the hair piece will fit the comb; first measure the comb and construct the Outer Frame to fit the comb. The approximate size of a large Banana Clip Comb is 7 inches long. Check size by measuring along the curved edge as shown in Banana Clip Comb illustration. When designing the Outer Frame it should measure approximately 7 inches x 4 inches to allow side expansion when comb is opened. In order to make the Outer Frame you will need 22 inches of Wefted hair.

CREATING Outer Frame

You will need 22 inches of Wefted hair. (Two 7 inch lengths and two 4 inch lengths.) Sew the 4" lengths to the 7" lengths of Wefted hair. Forming a rectangular frame measuring 4" x 7". (Keeping hair on same side.) Starting at any corner on rectangular frame: Mark or insert pins every 1 inch along the edge of Wefted hair. (There should be a total of 22 marks or pins. These marks are sewing points where Inner Frame must be sewn to Outer Frame to create the hair piece.)

CREATING Inner Frame

INNER FRAME After the Outer Frame has been completed. Begin sewing the Inner Frame within the Outer Frame. This is done by sewing the Inner Frame inside the Outer Frame one Wefting strip at a time. For this you will need 14 Wefting strips each 6" in length.   PIN or MARK each Inner Frame Wefting strip every 3/4 inches, and sew : Mark A. of Inner Frame to Mark 1 of Outer Frame. Mark C. of Inner Frame to Mark 2 of Outer Frame. Mark E. of Inner Frame to Mark 3 of Outer Frame. Mark G. of Inner Frame to Mark 4 of Outer Frame. Mark I. of Inner Frame to Mark 5 of Outer Frame.

CREATING 2nd Inner Frame

Sew : Mark J. of Inner Frame to Mark 6 of Outer Frame. Mark K. of Inner Frame to Mark B. of Inner Frame. Mark M. of Inner Frame to Mark D. of Inner Frame. Mark O. of Inner Frame to Mark F. of Inner Frame. Mark Q. of Inner Frame to Mark H. of Inner Frame. Mark R. of Inner Frame to Mark 7 of Outer Frame. To complete inner frame: Repeat above steps with remaining Wefting strips.

STEP 2.

Applying Adhesive to Comb

. With hair piece frame securely attached to Banana Clip Comb: Apply adhesive to edge of comb as shown below.

Bonding and Securing Hair Piece to Comb

. Place left comb edge-to-edge on hair piece. (Place edge of comb with adhesive along edge of 7" side of Wefting Outer Frame). Clamp comb to hair piece. Tie hair piece to combs, at ends of each comb and in center. Repeat above process with right comb. Allow adhesive to dry before removing clamps from hair piece and combs: The Bonding hair piece to Comb and Blender Attachment illustrations show an underside view of the hair piece.

Finishing Touches

With hair piece finished and attached to the comb it is now ready for the finishing touches. In order to make the hair piece less visible when worn a blender must be sewn to the top of the hair piece. The blender is added to the front top area of the hair piece where your hair blends with the hair of the hair piece. If desired the blender may be attached to hair piece before it is bonded to the comb. Adding A Blender Sew a 3 1/2 inch length of Wefting along the top inside edge of Outer Frame. Comb hair up over top of hair piece Frame so it covers the top edge of Outer Frame. Allow hair to flow in same direction as hair on Inner and Outer Frames:

Hair Piece Attachment

For a quick and easy attachment: Prepare your hair by combing it into two small Ponytails. With long hair: a. Comb your hair into a tight bun. b. Pull two short sections of hair out from the bun. c. Secure each ponytail with a rubber band. Open top end of hair piece comb. Place hair piece in position on your head. Lining it up with prepared Ponytails on head. When in place: a. Snap comb closed with teeth of combs passing through Ponytails to secure attachment.

Hair Piece Positioning

The Deluxe Banana Clip hair piece is a full bodied, luxurious hair piece and it is easily styled into any hairstyle desired. Try wearing this hair piece centered, off-center left, or off-center right, or it may be raised or lower to allow for additional versatility in hairstyles.
