Securing

SECURING A LACE FRONT WOMEN'S WIG OR MEN'S HAIRPIECE

Before securing your wig or hairpiece for wearing, it is recommended to undercoat the bonding areas to create a proper bonding area for tape or adhesive bonding. Undercoating is done differently on a wig compared to undercoating that is done to a monofilament men's hairpiece. It is important to follow the instructions below to make sure this is done properly.

Use the following process to undercoat the front hairline area on a wig or hairpiece before securing it for wearing.

  • Clean using alcohol before undercoating.

Use the following process to undercoat the front hairline area, or perimeter, on a women French or Swiss lace wig:

  • Next, apply EasyTAB 'undercoating' Compound (using a damp brush) where you wish to create a bonding area.
  • (A damp brush is when you clean off a dripping wet brush before applying.)
  • Let the undercoating compound dry for 1 hour.
  • Apply second coat.
  • Allow 8 hours before securing wig or hairpiece for wearing.

DO NOT TRY FILLING HOLES WHEN UNDERCOATING A FRENCH OR SWISS LACE WIG OR HAIRPIECE.

Please Note:

If necessary, hair may be ventilated in areas where EasyTab Compound has been applied to monofilament wigs and hairpieces.

Should EasyTAB get into the hair, remove it before it cures using Nail Polish Remover.
