What you should know about French and SWISS LACE Wig Caps
There are basically three popular types of lace material used to make women's wig caps and foundations for men's hairpieces. They are French Lace, Swiss Lace, and Monofilament Lace materials.
French and Swiss Lace Materials
The most popular and commonly used materials used for making Lace Front Wigs is French and Swiss lace materials.
French and Swiss lace material are commonly used for creating women's Lace Front Wigs because it allows manufacturer's to create the wigs very easily and quickly. French and Swiss lace materials are composed of uniform small holes very similar to "window screen" of which allows hair to be applied to very easily when creating a wig. Swiss lace material is just a thinner, more delicate version of French lace material. The main problem with these types of material is that it is not possible to create a wig with an invisible front hairline and part.
One major problem with French and Swiss lace material is that hair is easily pulled out when bonding tape and adhesive are removed. What happens when the bonding tape or adhesive that was used to secure the wig is removed, hair is commonly pulled out and within just several months the wig cannot be worn unless the lost hair is replaced.
And finally, because French and Swiss lace materials are composed of many small holes, the bonding tape surface commonly shines through the material at the front hairline and part areas.
There is really no way to solve the matrix exposure problem completely, however, it is possible to camouflage the front hairline and part areas by adding additional hair in these areas to better hide the lace material matrix.
To eliminate the problem of hair being pulled out and to create better bonding along the front hairline area may easily be accomplished by undercoating the front hairline of your wig using EasyTAB Compound. EasyTAB simply coats the hair tied to French and Swiss lace material of which provides a better bonding surface and it allows the tape to stick much better than just sticking to the exposed raw hair that was originally applied by the manufacturer.
EasyTAB also eliminates front hairline damage created when cleaning away adhesive residue from the front hairline area too.

French Lace Wig Hairline and Part
The above photo shows how French and Swiss Lace Wigs look like along the front hairline after several months of securing them and removing the bonding tape and adhesive. As you can easily see the lace material is plainly visible and the lace material does not match well with the wig wear's skin.
The only way to solve this problem is to add additional hair to the front hairline and part areas, however, to eliminate this from occurring again it is recommended to undercoat the front hairline, after adding new hair to your wig, using EasyTAB Compound. However, if you have a new Lace Front Wig that still looks okay, it is strongly recommended that you undercoat the front hairline now before it has been damaged. Keep in mind that undercoating your wig will lengthen how long it will be wearable and you will save a lot of money on maintenance.
