footnote::= The information provided on this web page does not imply that Tyra Banks uses MHRW products for protecting or securing her lace wigs. The information provided is only intended to inform reader's how they can prepare their Lace Front Wig or Full Lace Wig to avoid hair sheding and from becoming damaged from various abuses.

What makes Tyra Banks beautiful?
Everyone knows that Tyra looks great on her TV Show (the Tyra Banks Show) and everyone knows that Tyra wears Lace Wigs, Hair Extensions, or Hair Weaves most of the time. Tyra makes a point of letting everyone know that she wears Lace Front Wigs and Hair Weaves on her TV Show. She has talked about Wigs and Hair Weaves on her Show many times.

Los Angeles California is Tyra's home town and where her mother lives. Surely Tyra misses LA, as well as her mother; and surely Tyra's mother and Tyra's Californian fan's miss Tyra too.

Both young and old people love Tyra Banks because she cares about everyone and she's a beautiful women both inside and out. Tyra Banks is one of American's hottest Black Super Top Models, Black Actress Movie Star, and she has one of the hottest TV Show successes; 'The Tyra Banks Show. ' You can watch The Tyra Banks Show every evening on the satellite TV channel "OXYGN."

We all know that Tyra Banks cares about her young fan's and that young women want to emulate Tyra when it comes to their appearance. Many of her admiring fan's, like Tyra, wear Lace Front Wigs and Full Lace Wigs, however, the wigs they wear are factory-made wigs and they are not quality hand-made wigs like the wigs Tyra wears. Factory-made Lace Front Wigs and Full Lace Wigs quality wigs, they are inexpensive wigs compared to Tyra's hand-made wigs of which cost Tyra thousands to have them custom made to Tyra's specifications.

One of the most common complaints about Lace Front Wigs and Full Lace Wigs is hair shedding.

Factory-made wigs are made with 100% processed human hair that has been chemically treated to remove the cuticle from the hair shaft. This process reduces the cuticle size to eliminate hair tangling, however, this process weakens the hair shaft of which ultimately promotes hair shedding every time the wig is washed, brushed, or styled.

In addition to the hair shedding problem; another problem with this chemical treatment causes the hair to become dull and faded looking. To restore the hair to its natural appearance, manufacturer's chemically treat the hair with a silicone hair conditioner to make the hair to appear in a natural looking virgin condition. The problem from this silicone treatment is quickly discovered by unsuspecting wig wearers after shampooing their wig one or two times. Yes, every time you shampoo your wig the hair gets more dull and dried out looking.

Hand-made wigs are also made with 100% processed human hair most of the time the has not been chemically treated to remove the cuticle. Leaving the hair in its original condition allows the hair to stay strong and healthy and hair shedding is not an issue.

To help you better... understand how to stop hair shedding on your Lace Wig, please read the following information below to learn about undercoating your Lace Wig. This process teaches you how to protect the front hairline from being damaged or destroyed, and how to stop hair shedding on a wig.

There are basically three popular types of Wig Caps used at wig factory's when making Women's Lace Front Wigs. They are French Lace Wig Caps, Polyurethane Wig Caps, and Monofilament Lace Wig Caps.

French Lace Wig Caps
The most popular and commonly used wig caps used for making Lace Front Wigs is French Lace Material. French Lace Material is composed of many small holes very similar to "window screen."

When wigs are manufactured, using the strand-by-strand method of tying hair (ventilating) to French Lace Material, each hair is tied separately to one of the holes throughout the entire wig cap to create the finished Lace Front Wig.

The problem that eventually occurs from securing a wig using tape to secure a wig, is that hair is continually pulled out of the bonding area when the tape is removed.

The problem that eventually occurs from securing a wig using adhesive is used to secure a wig, is the adhesive penetrates through the lace material holes and quickly destroys the front hairline on the wig.

Another problem with French Lace Material is that the matrix (small holes) show through the hair at the front hairline and part areas.

There is really no way to solve the matrix exposure problem completely, however, it is possible to camouflage the front hairline and part areas by adding more hair to these areas to better hide the lace matrix.

To eliminate the problem of hair being pulled out and to create better bonding along the front hairline area may easily be accomplished by undercoating the front hairline of your wig using >> EasyTAB Compound. Sealing the hair to the matrix provides a better bonding surface and it allows the tape to stick much better than just sticking to the raw hair.

>> EasyTAB Compound also eliminates front hairline damage created when cleaning away adhesive residue from the front hairline area too.

The process below will explain how to prepare a French Lace Front Wig and Monofilament Lace Front Wig so the above does not occur.

French Lace Wig hairline.

The above photo shows how and what most French Lace Wigs look like along the front hairline when they are glued down.

As you can see the lace matrix is plainly visible and the netting obviously does not match the persons skin color.

Wigs made with Monofilament Lace Material allow you to control the hair density - so it looks natural; "Like hair growing from skin."

Also, you can easily dye the Lace Material to match with your own skin tone using Rit Dye.

Monofilament Lace Wig Caps
The second most popular wig caps used for making Lace Front Wigs are Monofilament Lace Wig Caps. Monofilament Lace Material is similar to "women's pantyhose material" with very tiny holes, so close together that it looks like skin when bonded to your own skin. The process below explains how to prepare a Monofilament Lace Front Wig, so the above problems do not occur.

The method of tying hair to Monofilament Material is the same as with French Lace Material, however, when sealed with urethane and bonded to your scalp can provide several favorable benefits.

Ventilating hair to Polyurethane Material is not possible.

When sealed using our brush-on urethane (EasyTAB Compound) you can expect the follow benefits:

1.
Hair is sealed and protected so hair cannot be pulled out where applied.

2.
Hair is not damaged when cleaning away wig bonding adhesive.

3.
Adhesive cannot penetrate through French Lace Material into hair.

4.
Hair can be added to the front hairline area to restore lost hair.

5.
Wig will last much longer compared to a wig without an unprotected front hairline.

Polyurethane Wig Caps
The Lace Front Wigs made using a Polyurethane Wig Cap are very natural looking at the front hairline area, however, they are not as as popular as the French Lace and Monofilament Front Lace Wigs. The reasons for this are as follows:

1.
Polyurethane material does not allow proper air circulation to occur beneath the Wig Cap. This can cause or accelerate hair loss.

2.
Polyurethane material is very delicate and when damaged cannot be easily repaired.

3.
Hair cannot easily be added to the front hairline should that be necessary.

4.
Scalp oil can cause the polyurethane material to become stiff and ripply along the front hairline.

5.
Polyurethane Lace Front Wigs are very hot during warm weather.

The information provided on the following pages will teach you how to prepare Hairpieces and Lace Front Wigs, so they will last longer and look more natural. And, so you can save money by eliminating costly maintenance on your Hair Replacement System or Wig.

We hope you find the information provided is enlightening and beneficial!
