This information explains how to undercoat the front hairline area of your Lace Front Wig... in order to eliminate any damage to the front hairline area on your wig.

SECURING LACE FRONT WIG USING TOUPEE TAPE

Here's how professionals secure a Lace Front Wig for their customers:

HOW TO UNDERCOAT AND PROTECT YOUR LACE FRONT WIG FROM BEING DESTROYED

To insure the lace front hairline section of your Lace Front Wig does not become destroyed from hair being pulled out from Toupee Tape removal, or by cleaning away embedded adhesive:

We recommend undercoating the lace front hairline section of your Lace Front Wig with our EasyTAB COMPOUND.

There are two kinds of netting used for making Lace Front Wigs, French Lace Netting and Monofilament Lace Netting.

French Lace Netting is the most commonly used material manufacturer's use for creating Lace Front Wigs. French Lace Netting in appearance and looks very similar to regular 'window screen'.

Monofilament Lace Netting in appearance and looks very similar to regular 'women's panty hose,' and when undercoated with our EasyTAB Compound, looks like skin with hair growing from it.

Monofilament Lace Netting is not as popular as French Lace Netting when it comes to wig making, however, if you want a more natural looking front hairline, you should consider purchasing a Monofilament Lace Front Wig or creating your own using our Lace Front Wig Cap.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If your Lace Front Wig is OLD:

Clean away and tape or adhesive residue before undercoating wig.

If your Lace Front Wig is NEW:

Use the following process to undercoat the front hairline area of your wig... before securing it for wearing.

Applying EasyTAB Compound to French Lace Netting

    • French Lace Netting must be clean.

STEP 1. . . Apply light 1st coat using a damp loaded brush.

    • NOT DRIPPING WET!
    • Do not allow EasyTAB to flow through holes into hair!

Stroke brush across underside area(s) allowing brush to lightly touch hairs. The object is to apply only a tiny amount of compound to each hair so the hair is locked in place and tape will stick better.

    • DO NOT TRY FILLING IN THE HOLES IN THE FRENCH LACE MATERIAL!
    • Let dry for 1 hour... before 2nd coat is applied.

STEP 2. . . 2nd coat is not necessary.

If ever necessary, hair can be ventilated to your Lace Front Wig where EasyTAB COMPOUND has been applied.

footnote::= Acetone (Nail Polish Remover) may be used to remove dried EasyTAB from human hair and foundation material.

This information explains how to clean any tape or adhesive from your Lace Front Wig... before you undercoat the front hairline area using our EasyTAB Compound.

LACE FRONT WIG CLEANING

If your Lace Front Wig is NOT NEW and you need to clean away any tape residue or adhesive buildup:

With wig removed from your head.

STEP 1. . . Spray directly on area(s) to be cleaned or soak area(s) were tape residue or adhesive buildup is present. (Use Opti-Sol Solvent. Pour 'OSS' into shallow pie tin, dish, or bowl.

Allow 'OSS' to soften tape residue or adhesive buildup.

STEP 2. . . Wipe away softened tape residue or adhesive buildup.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If tape residue or adhesive buildup is embedded into lace material:

Using 'kitchen spray hose' with water as hot as possible.

STEP 1. . . Spray hot water (positioned as close as possible to hair side of wig) through wig foundation. This will force embedded adhesive to loosen and flow to underside of wig.

STEP 2. . . Wipe away any residue that appears until all residue has been removed and you wig is clean.

After your wig is clean and free of tape residue or adhesive buildup, you are now ready to undercoat your wig.

This information explains how to secure your Lace Front Wig using any type of bonding tape.

TOUPEE TAPE BONDING

Use the following steps to secure your Lace Front Wig for wearing:

Toupee Tape Application

Lace Front material must be clean for best bonding results.

STEP 1. . . Clean all areas where Toupee Tape is to be applied on Lace Front Wig and your own scalp target areas.

We recommend using Opti-Sol Solvent for cleaning away any Toupee Tape residue from Lace Front Wig or your skin.

STEP 2. . . Apply Toupee Tape where desired on Lace Front Wig. (Do not remove tape shielding from 2nd side.)

STEP 3. . . Position Lace Front Wig as desired on your head.

STEP 4. . . . Turn edge(s) 'UP' (exposing where Toupee Tape has been applied to Lace Front Wig) and remove paper shielding from 2nd side of Toupee Tape.

STEP 5. . . Turn edge(s) back 'DOWN' (against your scalp) where Toupee Tape has been applied and press firmly with fingers to bond securely to your scalp.

This information explains how to remove your Lace Front Wig... to avoid any damage to the front hairline area of your wig.

Do not pull on hair to remove your Lace Front Wig. Removing your Lace Front Wig should be done very carefully to prevent damage to the hair or foundation. For guidance read instructions below.

. . . Toupee Tape residue from Lace Front Wig or your skin.

STEP 1. . . Spray Opti-Sol Solvent along front hairline. Next, part the hair just behind hairline area(s) where Toupee Tape has been applied and spray on more Opti-Sol Solvent.

Allow solvent to penetrate into Toupee Tape edges for several minutes.

STEP 2. . . Carefully lift edge of Lace Front Wig at front hairline temple (either side) and peel away Lace Front Wig along front hairline. While lifting the edge of the Lace Front Wig, spray on more Opti-Sol Solvent as necessary to speed up the bond release.

STEP 3. . . After you have completely lifted and released the bond, clean and prepare your Lace Front Wig for wearing once again.

Option 2.

Extended Wear Bonding

You have the option of using either Toupee Tape or Adhesive for securing your Monofilament Lace Front Wig for extended wearing.

    • The products below provide bonding periods for up to 6 weeks at a time.
