How to make a Lace Front Wig in less than 10
Hours!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Creating your Lace Front Wig
To create a Lace
Front Wig you may use either of the following two options:
Option #1
You may ventilate
hair to the entire Wig Cap using the Strand-by-Strand Method.
Option #2
You can sew
weft hair strips, in rows, around the sides and rears areas until
you reach the top Lace Front Monofilament Material Section of
the Wig Cap. And then to complete your Wig; simply ventilate
hair within the Lace Front Monofilament Material Section to complete
your wig.
Optional
NATURAL HAIRLINE PERIMETER
If desired,
you may create a Lace Front Wig with a natural hairline perimeter
that looks like hair growing from skin. This is done by simply
cutting away the finished edge around the Wig Cap perimeter and
sewing Flat Monofilament Material in place. (This is the same process used for creating
a natural looking front hairline.)
After you have
completed creating the wig; you simply apply EasyTAB Compound
around the perimeter to achieve a natural looking neck hairline
as done to create a natural looking front hairline.
Step 3
Undercoat your Lace Front Wig Hairline
To create an
invisible front hairline and to secure the front hairline area:
 |
Two coats of
EasyTAB Compound are applied to the underside front hairline
area.
- EasyTAB Compound
is a liquid plastic urethane.
|
 |
When applied
to the underside front hairline area, it flows through the monofilament
material to the hair side of the foundation.
- Creates an appearance
that the hair is growing from skin.
- When hairpiece
is secured for wearing, it appears that the hair along the front
hairline is actually your own.
- Prevents hair
from being pulled out of front hairline area from tape removal
or during adhesive cleanup.

footnote::=
Acetone (Nail Polish Remover) may be used to remove dried EasyTAB
from human hair and foundation material. |

Adjust Wig
Cap Color
The Lace Front
Wig Cap included with the MHRW Lace Front Wig Kit is a 'flesh
tone color.'
IF DESIRED; changing
the color to match your own skin tone color may easily be done
using Rit dye (sold
at Walgreen's).
footnote::=
Human hair
may be colored darker. To lighten human hair bleaching and dying
the hair is necessary.
 |
Changing
the Wig Cap color should not be done until after you have finished
creating your wig. (Reason:
Using a dark contrasting hair color allows you to easily see
when controlling the hair density while creating your wig.) |
 |
After
you have finished creating your wig you should then position
the wig on your head to evaluate whether adjusting the Wig Cap
color is necessary. (If
the Wig Cap color is noticeably lighter than your own skin tone
color, then adjust the color using Rit dye should be done.) |
 |
Dying
a Wig Cap to change its color is only necessary where the netting
is visible along the front hairline and possibly the part area. |
 |
Using
a Cotton Q-Tip:
Simply dip it into the Rit dye and dab the dye onto the underside
and top areas of the Wig Cap - where you wish to change the color. |
 |
Applying
Rit dye more than one time may be necessary to obtain a desired
color on the Wig Cap. (Allowing it to dry and check color before sealing
with EasyTAB Compound.) |
 |
After
the dye has dried:
Applying EasyTAB Compound will permanently seal in the color
and eliminate fading when washing your wig. |
