All you need are the right tools and a Hairpiece Foundation or Lace Front Wig Cap and some hair and as they say... Some good old fashion know how!

Dear Friends,

Before I tell you my story; please take a close look at the Hairpiece I'm wearing in the photo above. I made it myself with around $160.00 with of material and it's by far better than any retail Hairpiece being sold in hair replacement salons or hair clubs anywhere worldwide. (We challenge any Retail Wig Salon or Hair Club to equal the quality of my hand-made Hairpieces or Lace Front Wigs.)

Now if you will, please allow me to explain how I got involved with creating my own Hairpieces and how I can help you save thousands making and maintaining your own Hairpieces or Lace Front Wigs too.

Around 35 years ago when I was in my mid twenties I started loosing my hair. Naturally at this young age being bald was totally unacceptable and especially for an Italian kid who once had beautiful dark, thick wavy hair.

I was no hair replacement expert and I had no intentions of becoming a professional Lace Front Wig maker. I was simply a young salesman who wanted to look good in order to restore my self confident with people and to be more acceptable looking to the young ladies back then.

To solve my hair loss problem I decided to check out having hair transplant surgery, however, back then hair transplant surgery was just getting started and it was quite expensive and the results I saw from people I know were far from satisfactory. However, I also learned form others that the risk potential from surgical complications were extremely high. (This is still a big consideration even today in the year 2006.) Because of my negative findings I decided to pass on hair transplant surgery.

Next I checked out buying a Hairpiece and as a result I decided that this was probably my best option for a quick immediately logical solution to solve my hair loss problem.

Keep in mind that Rogaine® had not been discovered yet, but that there were many other products on the market that guaranteed to regenerate lost hair. Most of these products required using them for the rest of your life and that the results would take many months or even years before you would regrown your lost hair.

My final conclusion was this: "If you're bald and you want hair immediately you needed to buy a Hairpiece!"

So, to make a long story short: "I purchased a Hairpiece!"

It was an inexpensive synthetic Hairpiece with very thick hair. There was so much hair that you could see I was wearing a Hairpiece from a block away.

Well what can I say; it was a cheap Hairpiece and it only lasted me about 3 months before the hair faded and brittle and it looked like I was wearing a cat that had been run over on highway. Naturally, I bought a couple more synthetic Hairpieces before I finally decided to try purchasing a better quality human hair system. (They call them hair replacement systems today. I guess that's why the cost so much!)

On with my story! I found that human hair Hairpieces were somewhat better than synthetic Hairpieces, however, they too were made with far too much hair and they needed regular maintenance to keep them looking good as well.

To my disappointment even quality human hair Hairpieces because detectable just like the synthetic Hairpieces, but it just took a little longer. What I wanted was an undetectable Hairpiece and they were just not available at any price. (I have over 20 thousand customers worldwide and they tell me is that they can't find a quality natural looking undetectable Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig at any price.)

After going through that trauma with retail Hairpieces and having spent a lot of money in the process, I decided to give doing the maintenance on my own Hairpiece myself.

What I learned was doing the maintenance was simply adding hair every now and then to keep the piece looking fresh. I also found that how you wash a Hairpiece can greatly extend it life.

To learn how to add hair to my piece was easy. I simply asked my friend who was a Lace Front Wig buyer for Montgomery Wards back then. He learned how to make Lace Front Wigs from an old oriental women while buying Lace Front Wigs in Japan for Montgomery Wards.

Learning how to ventilate hair was easy. I guess I watched him do it so many time that I could automatically do it when I tried. So, after I learned how to ventilate hair to my piece I was finally in control of keeping my Hairpiece looking good. But what I did not realize then was you can only add so much hair to a piece before it starts looking like a mannequins Hairpiece with too much hair.

Well at this point, I either had to buy another Hairpiece or I had to try making one myself.

And that's exactly what I did. I decided to try making my next Hairpiece myself from scratch and I ordered some hair and foundation material for the project.

Now that I was ready to create my own custom Hairpiece I decided to eliminate what I considered was the reasons why retail Hairpieces were so obviously detectable.

Here's what I concluded must be done to create a truly natural looking undetectable Hairpiece:

First, I would need a very thin foundation material that would fit tightly to my scalp.

Second, I would need some quality human hair for creating my Hairpiece.

Third, I would need to create a long lasting durable tape-tab system for securing the Hairpiece for wearing.

And last, I would need to be able to cut-in my Hairpiece so it would blend naturally with my own hair. For this I decided to have it cut-in by a professional barber. Today, I use my Flowbee® Hair Cutting System.

Well that's the story and that is exactly what happen. Today I have perfected making custom Hairpieces for myself, but I don't make them for anyone else because that was not the reason I got involved in the first place.

How I got involved with MHRW INTERNATIONAL was the result from being asked to make Hairpieces or Lace Front Wigs for others. Because I had no interest in making Hairpieces or Lace Front Wigs for others I offered showing them how to make their own Hairpieces or Lace Front Wigs. Today as a result of my 35 years at perfecting making my own Hairpieces; I now offer my knowledge to others in the form of a Lace Front Wigmaking training kit called the MHRW Hairpiece Kit.

You can even make Men's Mustaches, Beards, Sideburns, Eyebrows, and even Chops; or Women's Add-on Hair Pieces or Lace Front Wigs when you learn from our simple Wig Making Program.

The Hairpiece MHRW Training Kit
First, let me tell you the method I developed for creating a natural looking Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig:

STEP 1. Foundation and Hair

Because the essence of a Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig is the foundation (Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig base) and hair, I decided the foundation must light weight, thin, tightly textured, one piece with no seams, strong, durable, and a flesh tone colored material so it blends naturally with a persons own skin. And equally important, it must be porous enough to allow perspiration to evaporate freely. To make it fit the contour of my head required making a wooden mold resembling the shape of a full size human head and then reshaping flat material to be contoured using steam.

This was accomplished using a nylon mono-filament material and I call them MHRW Ready made Preshaped Hairpiece Foundations.

As for the hair, I decided to use the best hair possible of which back then was Italian hair, to create a quality Hairpiece that would last longer than Hairpieces or Lace Front Wigs made with synthetic hair or Asian hair. After all, it takes the same amount of time to create a Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig regardless of the hair being used to create it.

STEP 2. Ventilating Hair to the Foundation

The hardest part of creating your own Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig would be learning how to ventilate hair. This is done using a tool called the Ventilator Tool. It is designed to hold a knitting needle that ties 1 to 3 hairs to the foundation as desired. Learning this process is easily done by simply watching the MHRW Training Video.
To create your desired Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig first you must place the foundation over the bald area of your head and then draw an outline (including a part if desired) of your desired Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig. It does not matter your degree of baldness because the MHRW Foundations are large and will easily cover your entire head.

Next, the outlined foundation is secured to a MHRW Head Block for ventilating hair within the outlined area.

STEP 3. Creating the Bonding System

Next, you must seal the edge of the foundation so it will not fray and to provide an area I call the Tape-Tab System for securing your Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig for wearing. This is easily done using my MHRW EasyTAB Compound. You simply brush it along the underside edge of the foundation and allow it to dry. This compound dries clear in color to allow your own skin color to photograph right through the foundation. It actually creates the illusion of hair growing from your scalp rather than from the foundation.

"You must see this to believe it!!"

Securing your Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig may be easily done using transparent adhesive tape or clips or with the new extended wear surgical liquid glue method. In some cases both tape and clips or tape and adhesive are used for securing a Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig.

Cutting and Styling

Naturally, cutting in the Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig that is created is not part of creating a Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig, however, it is required to make the Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig blend naturally with your own hair.

You must do a good job of cutting in a newly created Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig; so choose one of the following options to insure your success:

1. You can do it yourself using a Flowbee® Hair Cutting System.
2. You can have your barber or hair stylist cut-in your Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig for you.

Now let me tell you the process I use for creating a Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig:

Step 1./ The foundation is placed over the bald area of your head and your desired Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig pattern is drawn on to its surface. (This would include the outline showing exactly where the part is desired on the finished piece.)

Step 2./ Next, the outlined foundation is secured to a head block and hair is ventilated within the outlined area. (Creating a Hairpiece in this manor allows you to control the hair density while hair is being ventilated to the foundation. Controlling the direction hair is being ventilated to the foundation also allows you to create your desired hairstyle.)

Step 3./ When finished ventilating - - the Hairpiece is removed from the head block and a liquid tape-tab compound is brushed along the entire underside edge of the Hairpiece. (After the compound dries the excess foundation material is cut away to reveal your completed Hairpiece.)

My 3 Step Process for creating a Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig in this manor allows you to control the hair density while hair is being ventilated to the foundation. Controlling the direction of the hair being ventilated to the foundation also allows you to create any desired hairstyle.

Please keep in mind that I created this concept for creating my own Hairpieces, however, the same 3 Step Process may easily be used to create women's Lace Front Wigs too.

Now let me tell you about my MHRW Hairpiece Kit:

My 3 Step Lace Front Wig making process is provided on a VHS Training Video The MHRW Hairpiece Kit provides you with the Hairpiece Training Video and Manual, all tools, and supplies, and accessories needed for creating and maintaining custom Hairpieces and Lace Front Wigs. You also have the option of choosing a Kit with Synthetic, Asian, and Italian hair for creating your desired Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig. As an added incentive, I offer ongoing Online or Telephone support to all of my customers worldwide.

Another important point that must be considered with creating and maintaining your own Hairpieces or Lace Front Wigs is the time required to create them. I personally can create a full size Hairpiece within 20 to 30 hours (while watching TV). One lady customer of mine told me that she created a Hairpiece for her son in around 11 hours. The time it will take you to create your own Hairpiece will depend upon your own personal skills and the speed at which you are able to work.

When you compare how long it takes to create your own Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig to the standard 6 to 8 weeks delivery time required for having a retail Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig created and delivered to you -- you can easily see that creating your own Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig would be much faster than waiting 6 to 8 weeks for delivery of a retail Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig.

The last and maybe the most important point to consider is the cost of creating additional Hairpieces or Lace Front Wigs after the initial cost of the MHRW Hairpiece Kit. Creating a custom Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig requires that you purchase at least one ounce of hair and a foundation. Synthetic hair 10" long costs just $28 an ounce, Asian hair $86 an ounce, and Italian hair cost $136 an ounce. A Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig foundation cost just $20 each.

As you can clearly see, the materials needed for creating a custom Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig cost from $47 to $156 per Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig compared to the cost of a retail Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig ranging in price from $400 to $4000 each.

I sincerely hope that this information helps you with your decision regarding the solution
to your hair loss problem. However, should you need to discuss your situation with me personally, by telephone, please feel free to call

Thank you for taking the time to read how I got involved with creating my own Hairpieces and for considering purchasing one of my Wig Making Training Kits!
