How do I remove
wig bonding tape or glue from a polyurethane women's wig or hair
piece base?
Start by slowly
peeling the Wig or Hairpiece from your head.
When using an
extended wear bonding bonding tape such as: SuperTape, Pro-Flex
II, or Opti-Tape 42.
a. First spray
or apply adhesive remover, solvent, or alcohol where tape or
glue has been applied. Allow several minutes before starting
to remove wig or hair piece.
b. Start at either
side of front hairline; using your thumb, lift up the edge of
your wig or hair piece (gently to avoid chance of damage to wig
or hair piece) working towards other side of front hairline.
If you do full
perimeter bonding:
c. Continue lifting
wig or hair piece from your scalp until wig or hair piece is
completely removed.

Tape or adhesive
may easily be cleaned from your scalp (after your wig or hair
piece has been removed) using a quality safe adhesive remover,
solvent, or alcohol.

Simply, peel
up the edge of your wig or hair piece and remove it like you
would a large bandage.

kitchen sink 'high pressure water sprayer', spray hot water when
embedded adhesive residue exists to force embedded adhesive residue
out of wig or hair piece base.
