Extended Wear Bonding Instructions

The following instructions below are for bonding hairpieces or wigs to skin (scalp). This method of bonding requires the bonding area to be hairless in order to secure a hairpiece or wig. Below are complete step-by-step instructions for using Walker Ultra Hold (or Mity Tite) Adhesive for securing hairpieces or wigs for wearing.


  GRAFTING (100% Poly):

Clean scalp and dry.
. Use sponge or brush to apply a thin even coat of adhesive to surface of hairpiece or wig foundation and your scalp.
. Allow adhesive to dry apart until tacky (3 to 5 minutes) before bonding.
. Join two surfaces together and press and hold for 3 to 5 minutes before styling hairpiece or wig.

Avoid doing the following for 24 hours:
a. activities causing sweating.
b. do not wash hairpiece or wig... keep dry.

 Bonding Lace or Mesh:

Clean scalp and dry.
. Apply Walker's Scalp Protector to lace/mesh to provide easier clean up.
. Use sponge or brush to apply 2 (two) even coats of adhesive to scalp. (Allow 3 to 5 minutes between coats.)
Allow adhesive to become tacky. Solvents must evaporate to insure secure bonding.
. Position system on head and firmly press (for 1 minute) on areas where adhesive has been applied to system.

Avoid for doing the following for 24 hours:
a. activities causing sweating.
b. do not wash hairpiece or wig... keep dry.

footnote::= Perspiration, body chemistry and heat all determine how long a system will remain securely bonded to scalp. 3 to 5 week bonding intervals can be expected. Walker Scalp Protector extends bonding intervals and provides protection for sensitive skin.

Track Bonding System Instructions

The instructions below are for bonding hairpieces or wigs to hair. This method of bonding requires hair to be available in the area where the hairpiece or wig is to be bonded to your hair. Below are complete step-by-step instructions for using Top Priority Hard Bond Adhesive or SensiBond Adhesive for securing a hairpiece or wig for wearing.

  Perimeter Track System Bonding:

. Clean scalp and track system area and dry (must be scalp oil free).
. Apply adhesive to track area and matching track area on hair system.
. Allow adhesive to dry apart until tacky (3 to 5 minutes) before bonding.
. Position system on head and firmly press (for 1 minute) on areas where adhesive has been applied to system.

Track Bonding System Instructions
The following instructions below are for bonding hairpieces or wigs to hair. This method of bonding requires hair to be available for securing hairpiece or wig. Below are complete step-by-step instructions for using Walker Top Priority Hard Bond Adhesive for securing hairpieces or wigs for wearing.

  Storage:

. Keep in room temperature no warmer than 72 degrees until opened.
. Keep bottle in plastic zip-lock bag and refrigerated after opened.
. Remove any residual adhesive from applicator tip after use.

  Bottle Preparation:

. Remove cap.
. Cut applicator tip 1/8" from top (at a 45 degree angle).

  Preparation:

. Shampoo and blow dry your hair (do not use conditioner).


a. Establish track area around hairpiece or wig perimeter.
b. Cut your hair to 1/8" high stubble where track tape aligns for bonding.
c. Clean track area on head with isopropyl alcohol to remove any oil.

Preparing Hairpiece or Wig for Bonding:

Hair system must be clean, oil free, and thoroughly dry.

1. Apply front contour tape at hair system front.
2.  Remove tape-guard paper from Permanent Attachment Tape (P.A.T.)
Secure tape along underside edge of hair system.
3.  Before securing hair system in place on head, position hair system on head and check track alignment to be sure that P.A.T. tape aligns perfectly with 1/2" wide stubble track.
4.  Position and secure only front of hair system to your scalp.
5.  Pull rear of hair system towards front hairline to expose the underside of hair system and P.A.T. tape.
6. Apply Top Priority adhesive evenly to width P.A.T. tape.
7.  Roll hair system slowly back over scalp, while aligning hair system with track.
8. When in place: press and hold down hair system (approximately 2 minutes) with equal pressure around entire perimeter of hair system track.

Before styling, check bonded perimeter for "lips" or "gaps" and spot bond these areas if necessary.

REMOVAL of Top Priority Permanent Attachment System:

The hair system should be removed and re-bonded approximately every 4 to 6 weeks depending upon hair growth.

1. Lift at front hairline to expose track (at either temple).
2. Using a scissors, carefully cut-away old hair track - leaving 1/8" stubble length hair to be used again for re-bonding hair system.
3. Peel away P.A.T. Tape carefully from hair system.
4. Clean hair system. It is extremely important that hair is dry and oil free before re-applying Top Priority Hard Bond.
