Extended Wear Bonding Instructions for:

The following instructions are for bonding wigs or hairpieces to skin (scalp). This method of bonding requires securing to areas that are void of hair for best results. Below are complete step-by-step instructions for using the above list of adhesives to secure a wig or hairpiece for wearing.
Bonding Lace or Mesh:
- Clean scalp and dry.
- Apply Scalp Protector & Sealer to lace/mesh to provide easier clean up.
- Use sponge or brush to apply 2 (two) even coats of adhesive to scalp. (Allow 3 to 5 minutes between coats.)
- Allow adhesive to become tacky. Solvents must evaporate to insure secure bonding.
- Position system on head and firmly press (for 1 minute) on areas where adhesive has been applied to system.
Avoid for the following for 24 hours:
- activities causing sweating.
- do not wash hairpiece or wig... keep dry.
MHRW OptiSol Solvent is recommended for easy residue removal and clean-up.
Please Note:
- Perspiration, body chemistry and heat all determine how long a system will remain securely bonded to scalp.
- Three to five week bonding intervals can be expected (based upon each persons hair growth rate).
- Skin Shield scalp protector and sealer extends bonding intervals and provides protection for sensitive skin.
GRAFTING (Bonding to 100% Polyurethane):
- Clean scalp and dry.
- Use sponge or brush to apply a thin even coat of adhesive to surface of hairpiece or wig foundation and your scalp.
- Allow adhesive to dry until tacky (3 to 5 minutes) before bonding hairpiece or wig.
- Join two surfaces together, then press and hold for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Style hair only after hairpiece or wig is securely bonded to hair.
Avoid doing the following for 24 hours:
- Activities that cause sweating.
- Do not wash hairpiece or wig... keep dry.
